European Reptile & Amphibian Photography Workshop

Date: 26th September 2021
Time: 9am - 3pm
Location: Leek, Staffordshire
Capacity: 8 people
Price: £100.00 per person

Join us for a fantastic day working on various species of reptile and amphibian found across britain and continental europe. You’ll get the chance to photograph rare british species like natterjack toads, smooth snakes and sand lizards as well as some of the larger and colourful European species like eyed lizards, aeculapian snakes and pond turtles. With over 15 species to choose from there’s plenty of opportunities for great images both naturally in there large enclosures and in macro set ups.

Harvey & Tom (the owners of Celtic Reptile & Amphibian) will start of with giving you a private tour of the facility and showing you some of the species they keep. Afterwards we’ll get the cameras set up and start photographing some species. Depending on your skill set you can just get stuck in or Jack is on hand to offer photographic tips and advice along the way.

If there is a particular European species you want to photograph but we don’t have it we may be able to accommodate so feel free to ask.

Animal welfare is at the utmost forefront for these days out which is why we don’t “fridge species”, we have multiples of each animal so not to stress out anyone species (although many are quite tame!) and strict bio security with shoes being dipped on entry and hands being sanitised between species.

Why come on the course?

Whats Included? Tuition for the day, guided tour of the facility, hot drinks and biscuits! Lunch can be provided for a supplementary fee.

Facilities: There are toilets near by and free parking. You can get food near by also from a local cafe.

Who are Celtic Reptile & Amphibian

Here at Celtic Reptile & Amphibian, we breed over 10 species of herptile (amphibian and reptile)  for the purposes of conservation, education and commercial applications. Unlike other collections, all of our animals hail from the continent of Europe, meaning we have assembled one of the largest collections devoted to this grouping of animals.
